It might be cute to hear a girl talking to her boyfriend like a baby every now and again, but that tish gets annoying quite quickly. There’s nothing more nerve pinching than hearing a woman talk to her boyfriend like a 6-year-old.

Grow up and please say what you mean without mispronouncing it on purpose.

I remember having gone out for dinner with a couple once only to hear them argue about every little thing that went on that night and in their past. It seemed like they really hated each other.

What’s more uncomfortable than watching a couple make out constantly is watching a couple who are one butter knife away from killing each other.

She’s telling a story and you want to chime in every 4 seconds because you think she left something out. The people listening to you don’t care; tell the damn story and let’s move on.

You don’t argue, you don’t kiss, hell you don’t even acknowledge each other. You sit there like strangers and just people watch because you know that if you do talk to each, someone’s going to bring up the pink elephant in the corner.

If you don’t like each other, don’t expose the world, especially other couples to your mutual hatred for one another. There’s nothing more annoying than having dinner with a couple who would clearly rather be somewhere else, preferably alone.

Now that you’re part of a couple, you think that being single is like a disease and no one should be experiencing it. You have nothing but choice words for those who opt to remain single.

From trying to set them up to insisting that they’re doing something wrong because they’re still single, annoying couples tend to insist that “normal” people all want to be with someone.

It’s wonderful that your meal is so awesome that your girlfriend just has to taste it. But dude, all you have to do is take her fork, cut up a piece and hand it to her. You don’t have to turn it into some dramatic production.

Annoying couples tend to feed each other as though they’re in some romantic novel or something. Nobody thinks it’s cute.

After being together for years, you are bound to have some inside jokes that no one else will understand, and that’s great for you. But do you really need to bring up every single one in a 4-hour span?

We obviously won’t get it and yes, we had to be there, but we weren’t. So do you mind keeping your myriad inside jokes to yourselves?

There’s nothing more annoying than listening to couples refer to each other as these bizarre pet names like bunny. Stop it. Stop it now.

You dress alike
It’s one of the ultimate sins of coupledom. I mean, it’s bad enough that couples start to look alike after a while, but my goodness, is it really necessary to coordinate your outfits?

What is it? You don’t want to clash with each other? It just doesn’t make sense. Dressing alike is by far the most annoying thing a couple could do.

and to add in one of my personal peeves (which kind of ties into #10)….
If 85% of your facebook album is of you and your boo kissing – you’re annoying. You know what, 5% is even too much. Seriously, why would you put so many up as if you look different all the time? Just because you kiss in a different shirt and hair style, it doesn’t make it any more interesting for your friends to see. You wanna kiss on film? By all means, smooch it up! But keep that shit in a folder, on your computer, for yourself. There is a fine line between love and nausea and honey, you just crossed it.

I’m not a match maker or a love guru but with the past three years in a committed relationship with it’s up’s and down’s – I have to say that the “Cohabitate” experience was one of many reasons to why I’m one of the most happiest guys in the world. There are so many people who I know that live by this below and they’re just the happiest and swear up and down that they’re content, I haven’t gotten the balls to say it but I think it’s just a bunch of BULL SHIT.

“But this seemingly mature merger of two adults in love was illusory, as I was out of my depths. In both instances, I made a major commitment without seriously considering the responsibilities.”

So the author describes why you shouldn’t move in but then confesses that he didn’t consider the responsibilities or commitment. Typical, why preach if you’re just going admit to your own weakness/insecurity? This proves that some just don’t try…

Hot or Not, ladies and gents?

On a recent trip to The King’s godson’s indoor pool party, we decided to head to a local mall. The angels who guide me must have read my mind because we were about to hop on the freeway and head to Southland Mall but i quickly saw Newark Mall and realized i haven’t been there before and honestly, i had no idea Newark was it’s own city (sorry Newark). Many stores later my eyes locked into the perfect sweater that i’ve been looking for, for what seemed like forever! Noticing that it was a huge Forever 21 that sold Heritage for guys, i almost jumped over the railing to get to into the store and find that jacket because we all know that Forever is like a zoo in there and if they don’t have your size……they don’t have your size and you would be SOL (Shit outta Luck!) So take a look see because The Duke will be sportin’ some new attire down the catwalk..RAWR!

I’m sure most of you are aware of this PIG flu that’s going around in the Bay Area but you never know who will have it and it can also hit close to home, so i want everyone to follow the following procedures because THE DUKE doesn’t want H1N1!

1. Get vac­ci­nated. Vac­ci­na­tion is the best pro­tec­tion against con­tract­ing the flu. Encour­age your fam­ily, your room­mates, stu­dents, class­mates, cowork­ers to be vac­ci­nated. If uncer­tain, talk with your health care providers about whether you should be vac­ci­nated for sea­sonal and H1N1 flu. If you are at higher risk for flu com­pli­ca­tions from 2009 H1N1 flu, you would be con­sid­ered in a “pri­or­ity group” for receiv­ing the H1N1 vac­cine when it becomes avail­able. Peo­ple at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 flu com­pli­ca­tions include preg­nant women and peo­ple with chronic med­ical con­di­tions (such as asthma, heart dis­ease, or dia­betes).

2. Prac­tice good hand hygiene by wash­ing your hands with soap and water, for at least 20 sec­onds, espe­cially after cough­ing or sneez­ing. Alcohol-based hand clean­ers also are effective.

3. Prac­tice res­pi­ra­tory eti­quette by cov­er­ing your mouth and nose with a tis­sue when you cough or sneeze. After using one tis­sue, dis­card it; do not keep the con­t­a­m­i­nated tis­sue in your pock­ets. If you don’t have a tis­sue, cough or sneeze into your elbow or shoul­der, not into your hands. Avoid touch­ing your eyes, nose, or mouth; germs are spread this way.

4. Know the signs and symp­toms of the flu. A fever is a tem­per­a­ture taken with a ther­mome­ter that is equal to or greater than 100 degrees Fahren­heit or 38 degrees Cel­sius. Look for pos­si­ble signs of fever: if the per­son feels very warm, has a flushed appear­ance, or is sweat­ing or shivering.

5. Stay home if you have flu or flu-like ill­ness for at least twenty-four hours after you no longer have a fever (100 degrees Fahren­heit or 38 degrees Cel­sius) or signs of a fever (have chills, feel very warm, have a flushed appear­ance, or are sweat­ing). This should be deter­mined with­out the use of fever-reducing med­ica­tions (any med­i­cine that con­tains ibupro­fen or aceta­minophen). Don’t go to class or work.

6. Main­tain a clean work envi­ron­ment. Keep shared sur­faces such as tele­phone receivers and com­puter key­boards par­tic­u­larly clean with anti­sep­tics or wipes con­tain­ing alco­hol or chlorox.
